AccuSport, known throughout the golf industry for its Vector launch monitors, just announced the release of the industry’s first launch monitor designed for consumers – VectorX. Unlike traditional launch systems which require an external connection to a computer, the VectorX works autonomously and doesn’t require any support from a computer or external power source. The result is a technically advanced training aid that enables golfers to maximize their time spent practicing whether on the range, in their backyard or in the house. Users still get the same analysis and data from each swing including clubhead speed, ball speed, side spin and launch angle among others, but now results will be displayed directly on the unit and without the need for a monitor. In addition to the onboard LCD display, the VectorX is equipped with its own CPU and rechargeable battery with a two hour life. Previously golfers who wanted to take advantage of launch data had to go to a proshop, retailer or teaching pro, but with the VectorX the same information can be captured every time the user practices.
